Windows Live Messenger issue

Yesterday i'm having issue with live messenger where i accidentally half way installed the software which it stuck in between exist ([ist on start -> all program -> windows live] and not exist [the windows live messenger is not in the list add remove program]. I can see it is there but i cannot uninstall or remove it.
I've browse and search for solutions, and on of the solution was

To uninstall Windows Live Messenger, click Start, then Run if using XP, then type/paste the following and press Enter:
msiexec /x {0AAA9C97-74D4-47CE-B089-0B147EF3553C}

and when run the command its popup saying "this action is only valid for pruducts that are currently installed"

For hours try to find solution till a time feeling to reformat again my laptop just for this small issue of windows live messenger till i came across "zapmessenger" and i give it a try as my last shot.

to run ZapMessenger you need to have your pc or laptop installed at least the 2.0 Net Framework.

Then only you can run the Zap Messenger and it will clean your windows live messenger issue and you can start reinstall the windows live messenger like a new.

Good Luck.
